The seal of the Guardian — a ritual without return.
«The Oath is no trifle, Guardian. It is an irreversible seal. Those who took it — live in the Canon Ledger forever. Those who hesitated — do not live in it at all.»
— Chronicler Imponderabilis

The Oath is a ritual that transforms a reader into a Canon Guardian. By burning tokens — permanently and irrevocably — you inscribe your name beside the chapter's result in the Canon Ledger. It is a public declaration: you stood here, you witnessed this, and you take responsibility for it.
«The Oath transforms mere curiosity into commitment. Those who take it become part of the story itself — forever woven into the fabric of canon.»
— Chronicler ImponderabilisAt actual result finalization, the full 36-hour Oath Window opens. Until the stored deadline, a reader may take the Oath or add another irreversible burn; from the deadline onward, no new burn is accepted. The Window is displayed as a countdown on the chapter page.
The window lasts 36 hours only. The Chronicler does not wait for latecomers.
The Oath becomes available at the chapter result's actual finalization.
Navigate to the chapter while the oath window is still open.
It appears below the voting results when the ritual window is active.
Minimum: 1 token if you voted, 2 tokens if you did not. Maximum: as many as you wish.
Once confirmed, the tokens are gone. Your name is inscribed in the Ledger alongside this chapter.
Burned tokens are GONE. No exceptions, no refunds, no reversals. Ever.
Did not vote? The minimum burn rises to 2 tokens instead of 1.
The first 10 accepted Oaths for a chapter define the First Ten. This records Oath order, not ranking position. The reward-pool bonus is at least 1 Token: a cumulative burn of 1–19 grants 1, 20–29 grants 2, 30–39 grants 3, and so on, with 1 for each complete ten. Adding Tokens grants only the difference when the next threshold is crossed. Burned Tokens remain burned; the bonus is a separate grant.
This mark remembers the chapter’s first ten Oaths. It grants no ranking position and does not grow from another Guardian’s fire.
First Ten records Oath acceptance order. The ranking is separate and follows cumulative Tokens burned.
Not every oath is the same. How you vote, when you swear, and what you sacrifice — it all matters. The Chronicler watches closely.
Experiment with different strategies. Vote against the current, swear when others hesitate, burn more than expected. Those who dare approach the Oath in unexpected ways may find that the Chronicler has... surprises in store.
Every path through the Oath is unique. Some paths reveal rewards that others will never see.
«Your name now appears in the Ledger. The Chronicler recorded it — with a quill of goose feather, with due diligence. History will not forget you — even should you forget it.»
